Exercise 0.3 – Focus at different apertures

For this exercise, I used my brand new handmade lightbox one more time, since the exercise was very similar to the other one. I had the same lens (50 mm f/1.4) and my camera was still on place, on my tripod.

So for that one, I used my son’s Hotwheel. My focus point is the yellow car’s wheel

I took a picture at a very wide aperture (f/1.4)

A

Picture A, for me is a mess only the yellow car’s wheel are focus and hardly. But it is interesting to see the clear difference between the wheels.

The second picture represent the aperture at f/4

B

This one (B) I can say that I like it. Even if these car measure 3 inch long and only have half an inch between, you really can feel a good progressive depth.

My third picture was taken at an aperture of f/16, the max this lens can offer me

C

Picture C is SHARP ! too much for me, but very useful with other setup.
